Core impact
Inspection coverage across the build cycle: first article, in-process, and final.
Dimensional and cosmetic verification using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators, and CMMs.
Precise reading of engineering drawings, specs, and job travelers.
Documentation excellence: inspection records, NCRs, and AS9102 FAI packages.
Calibration stewardship: maintain logs and ensure proper gauge handling and storage.
Quality system support: uphold AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO requirements; participate in internal audits.
Problem solving: partner with production/engineering/quality to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Workplace discipline: sustain 5S and safety standards; keep the inspection area organized and compliant.
What qualifies you
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years inspecting precision sheet metal or aerospace components.
Blueprint literacy and strong metrology fundamentals.
Hands-on with inspection tools and CMM fundamentals.
Clear written and verbal communication; solid documentation habits.
Familiar with AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO-based quality systems.
Physical demands & environment
Extended standing; bending; lifting up to 40 lbs.
Fine-detail visual inspection of small parts; frequent hand-tool use.
PPE required: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection.
Manufacturing and inspection environment with cross-functional collaboration.
Schedule, pay, and benefits
Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday (flexibility as production requires).
Compensation: $21 - $27 per hour.
Benefits: shared-cost health care, paid holidays, paid time off, and 401(k) with company match after a waiting period.
