My client is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating, budgeting, and client-facing preconstruction efforts for a growing commercial construction organization in the Raleigh market. Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze project documents, such as blueprints and specifications, to determine project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and teams to develop accurate and competitive proposals.
- Maintain updated cost databases and pricing information for accurate forecasting.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project needs and budgets.
- Provide input and recommendations to enhance project profitability and efficiency.
- Track and report project costs to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings to discuss project details and address any concerns.
Profile
- 5-10 years of preconstruction experience within commercial construction
- Strong estimating and budgeting experience on large-scale construction projects
- Demonstrated success working directly with clients and helping win business
- Confident presentation and communication skills with the ability to lead client discussions
- Experience collaborating with architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
- Knowledge of conceptual estimating, value engineering, and construction planning
- Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
