A Day in the Life of a Preconstruction EstimatorAs a Preconstruction Estimator at First Onsite, you'll play a critical role in setting projects up for success from day one. Your work spans reconstruction and general contracting projects across the U.S. and neighboring countries, where you partner with leadership to define scopes, coordinate with subcontractors and Project Managers, and ensure every detail is captured with accuracy. From reviewing site conditions and analyzing bids to resolving issues and maintaining thorough records, you're the expert who keeps preconstruction moving smoothly and strategically.You'll be at the center of cost management and feasibility-tracking material and labor costs, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and staying ahead of industry trends. Collaborating closely with the Preconstruction Manager, architects, and other professionals, you'll solicit, review, and secure competitive subcontractor proposals that bring projects to life.
