Preconstruction Manager

This client pursues competitive bid work exclusively. They do not take on negotiated projects, which makes preconstruction central to how the business wins. You will own bid strategy, estimating, and buyout, working alongside project teams to position each pursuit before it breaks ground.

 What the client requires

 Preconstruction and estimating experience in commercial construction

Competitive bid experience specifically. This is the essential requirement, not a preference.

Large-format retail, grocery, or big box project experience preferred

Collaborative working style

The client will also consider an Assistant Preconstruction Manager ready to advance.

Compensation and structure

$100,000 to $150,000 depending on experience. This role is based full-time in the Irving office with no travel requirement.

The Opportunity

This client bids competitively and does not pursue negotiated work. That distinction defines the role. Preconstruction is not a supporting function here, it is how the company wins business, and the person in this seat has direct influence on what the firm builds.

You will lead bid strategy, estimating, and buyout on large-format retail and grocery projects, working closely with operations to set each project up before it starts.

The position is based full-time in the Irving office. There is no travel requirement.

Qualifications

Preconstruction and estimating experience in commercial construction

Competitive bid experience. This is essential rather than preferred.

Large-format retail, grocery, or big box project background preferred

Ability to work collaboratively across estimating and operations teams
