Preconstruction Manager
Job Description
Lead and mentor estimators and junior team members. Develop detailed cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documentation. Plan project timelines, sequencing, and procurement strategies. Manage prequalification packages and bid submissions. Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing. Ensure timely and accurate submission of estimates and budgets. Provide regular updates to leadership and client stakeholders. Identify risk factors and develop contingency plans. Stay current with estimating tools, technology, and industry trends. Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in site visits as needed.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Preconstruction Manager should have:
- 2+ years of estimating experience with a general contractor
- Experience with ground-up CM at-risk projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction cost and scheduling principles
- Familiarity with project management and estimating software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, professional, and solutions-oriented mindset
