We are currently seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager/Project Planner to join our pre-construction team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibility to:
    • Contribute to the overall project strategy and play an integral role in executing the strategy.
    • Organize multiple team members.
    • Engage and coordinate the expertise from each member of our design build team.
    • Function as client liaison to ensure client expectations and goals are properly identified and met.
    • Function as the main communication link with all project resources both internal and external.
    • Function as lead communicator to ensure all required meetings are scheduled and the appropriate team members are invited and in attendance in accordance with processes and procedures.
    • Hold weekly client meetings with the Project Architect/Captain during design development.
  • Attends:
    • Client sales meetings and presentations.
    • Internal strategy meetings to develop creative strategies and schedules to meet clients' needs.
  • Schedules:
    • Internal project review meetings.
    • Client meetings.
    • Consultant meetings.
  • Collaborates with:
    • Client to establish project scope.
    • Design team to define project scope.
    • Design build subcontractors and vendors to generate project scope.
    • Estimators for project support
    • Construction team to establish construction schedules and logistics.
  • Prepares
    • Project proposals
    • Meeting minutes
    • Action item reports
    • Estimates (conceptual budgets, control estimates, and GMP's)
    • Project scope summaries
    • Project schedules
    • Contracts for client review
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar technical degree.
  • Familiar with building systems technology
  • Willingness to learn and grow with Dacon Corporation
  • A strategic thinker with high organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organizational and multi-tasking abilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Proficient at proposal writing and organizing and leading meetings
  • Experience estimating and preparing conceptual budgets
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam
  • High drive to succeed coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Active team member with a high energy level and optimism

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Indoors in an open office area with personal workspace. Noise levels may fluctuate.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to inspect the project and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.
POSITION TYPE:
  • This is a full-time salary exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, and may occasionally require longer hours.
TRAVEL:
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day.
