Job Description
The Safety Manager - Commercial GC - Columbia will be expected to:
- Developing safety policies and procedures
- Conducting safety training
- Performing safety inspections
- Incident investigation and reporting
- Risk assessment and hazard analysis
- Regulatory compliance
- Emergency response planning
- Run safety meetings
- Documentation and record keeping
- Collaboration and communication
- Continuous improvement
- PPE management
- Subcontractor coordination

The Successful Applicant
The ideal Safety Manager - Commercial GC - Columbia should possess the following qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working in safety for a general contractor or subcontractor within the construction industry
- Experience managing safety standards on project sites with over 25 workers
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to run meetings & motivate others
- Positive attitude, punctual, great communication skills
- Tech savvy, great with construction management software systems and Apple products
- OSHA 30 certification, more advanced certifications desired but not required (OSHA 500 etc)
