The Preconstruction & Project Coordinator is a key support role within our commercial landscape construction team, responsible for coordinating project setup, supporting estimating efforts, and assisting with execution and cost tracking. This role partners closely with Project Managers, field leadership, and estimators to ensure projects are set up for success and executed efficiently from preconstruction through closeout.
Project Coordination & Execution
Coordinate project schedules, subcontractors, and material deliveries to support efficient execution
Assist in maintaining project timelines, milestone tracking, and look-ahead planning
Support issue tracking and escalation in collaboration with Project Managers and field teams
Preconstruction & Estimating Support
Assist with quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and scope reviews
Gather vendor and subcontractor pricing
Support proposal development and bid submissions
Communication & Stakeholder Support
Coordinate communication with clients, General Contractors, and trade partners
Assist with meeting preparation, updates, and documentation
Maintain strong, professional relationships across project teams
Financial & Cost Tracking
Track job costs, commitments, and production quantities on an ongoing basis
Support change order documentation and processing
Assist in monitoring cost trends and project performance
Documentation & Administrative Coordination
Maintain organized project files including RFIs, submittals, and contracts
Support billing documentation and compliance tracking
Assist with closeout documentation and turnover
Field & Operations Coordination
Coordinate with field teams to align schedules and logistics
Visit jobsites as needed to support execution and issue resolution
Ensure clear communication between field and office teams
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
3–7 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, estimating, or similar roles
Experience with takeoffs, bidding, or construction estimating preferred
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and construction documents
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software
Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
