    ABOUT THE ROLE
    Valley Prefab is seeking a highly organized, driven, and proactive Production Manager to lead the daily operations of our growing prefabrication facility. The successful Production Manager is someone who stays several steps ahead of production—not just reacting to today's work but preparing for tomorrow.
    This role is responsible for planning production, coordinating workflow between departments, and ensuring our manufacturing teams have everything they need to execute projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
    The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems before they become issues, and understands that preparation and communication are the keys to successful production.
     
    WHAT YOU’LL DO
    Production Planning & Coordination
    • Develop and maintain production schedules and forecasts, and daily planning.
    • Coordinate production priorities with Project Management, Purchasing, and Shop Leadership.
    • Prepare work orders for production.
    • Verify all required materials, shortages or scheduling conflicts before they impact production.
    • Communicate completed orders and notify the appropriate teams when orders are Ready to Ship (RTS).
    • Ensure production documentation is complete and available for shop personnel.
     
    Production Tracking & Reporting
    • Maintain and update the daily production tracker.
    • Track weekly production output and performance.
    • Prepare and distribute weekly production summaries.
    • Monitor production progress against schedule and communicate potential delays early.
    Team Leadership
    • Lead the daily production meeting.
    • Coordinate communication between production, purchasing, project management, and shipping.
    • Help remove roadblocks that prevent the team from maintaining production goals.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
    Administrative Responsibilities
    • Enter and maintain daily labor time.
    • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and process development.
     
    WHO YOU ARE
    • Experience in manufacturing, construction, prefabrication, or production management preferred.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
    • Comfortable working with production schedules, spreadsheets, and production software.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.
