Position:PreK-2 Classroom Music Specialist
Location:Memorial Elementary School and Shining Star Preschool
Schedule:2026-2027 School Year
Salary:Per Teachers' Contract
To Start:August 24, 2026 (plus two mentoring days prior to start day)
Qualifications: Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education Teacher License - Certified Music as well as: Must be team oriented Knowledge of Orff-based classroom music instruction preferred Excellent classroom management skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Respect for diversity
Responsibilities: Daily instruction of classroom music grades PreK-2 Management of classroom and the care of equipment and material contained therein Supervision of students placed in their charge Maintenance of records directly related to classroom instruction Communicate regularly with colleagues Collaborate with other staff members daily Other duties as assigned by Department, Building and District Administration
