Rude Mouth is seeking a dedicated and eager Prep Chef/Cook to join our team. In this role, you will be front facing and responsible for preparing and plating 5-6 small plates in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality standards and timely service.
This isn't a typical prep chef role.Our wine bar is designed around one chef per shift. You'll be responsible for everything from prep and execution to plating and expo. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the bar and 'front-of-house' team, you'll play a central role in every service. This position offers a high level of responsibility, trust, and influence over the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble menu items according to our specifications.
- Assist in menu curation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
- Assist in inventory management and food storage.
- Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Assist in washing dishes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for food.
- Food Handlers Certificate is a plus
