Prep Cook | 30–40 Hrs + Pooled Tips | New Novato Restaurant

Kitsch + Sync, a brand-new family restaurant + indoor play space in downtown Novato, is hiring a Prep Cook to join our opening kitchen team.

We're looking for someone who wants consistent 30 40 hour weeks and can become a reliable core member of our BOH team.

$17 $18/hour based on experience + pooled tips. Unlike many BOH positions, our kitchen team participates in the house tip pool, providing additional earnings on top of base pay.

Our menu is intentionally streamlined. This isn't a traditional high-pressure line-cook position we need someone who is fast, dependable, organized, comfortable with food prep and willing to jump in wherever needed.

The Job

• Daily food prep and recipe execution
  
• Portioning and preparing ingredients
  
• Kitchen setup, stocking and organization
  
• Support food service during busy periods
  
• Receiving and proper food storage
  
• Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning
  
• Maintain food-safety and sanitation standards
  

We're Looking For

• Previous restaurant, caf , catering, deli, bakery, grocery/prepared-food or similar kitchen experience preferred
  
• Reliable and punctual
  
• Strong organization and cleanliness
  
• Comfortable following recipes and prep procedures
  
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  
• Morning/daytime and weekend availability
  
• California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one
  

Formal culinary training isn't required. Reliability, work ethic and kitchen experience matter more to us than a fancy r sum .
