Prep Cook and Retail Associate
Job Location: Petaluma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $20-$22/hour
Schedule: 40 hours a week, Saturday and Sunday are required; 9:45am to 6:15pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Prep Cook and enjoy providing excellent customer service in a retail environment? We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic setting and takes pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food. In this role, you’ll help prepare delicious sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go items, and made-to-order dishes that showcase our award-winning cheeses and locally inspired flavors
Job Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 lbs., and working in both warm and cold environments
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, carrying, and use of kitchen equipment is expected
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established cheese factory in Petaluma, California.
Experience Required:
- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with made-to-order menu items during service hours
- Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary prep area
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and daily prep lists
- Support opening and closing duties
- Work closely with the Bistro and Retail teams to keep operations running smoothly
