About the Role:
Fit Prep in Baltimore, MD is looking for a talented and motivated Prep Cook to join our kitchen team! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and portion ingredients according to standardized recipes and daily prep lists
• Wash, chop, slice, and dice vegetables, proteins, and other ingredients with precision
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and labeling procedures (FIFO)
• Assist line cooks and kitchen staff during high-volume meal prep and service periods
• Monitor and rotate stock, communicating low inventory levels to kitchen leadership
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards and health code regulations

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a prep cook, kitchen, or food service role preferred
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency and quality
• Reliable, punctual, and a team-first attitude
• Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe a plus
• Must be available to work Friday to Saturday
