Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing ingredients and basic menu items according to established procedures.
- Set up, restock, and maintain cafeteria serving areas to ensure items are presented neatly and available as needed.
- Support food portioning, plating, and distribution during meal service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and storage areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces as assigned.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and temperature control guidelines at all times.
- Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory properly.
- Communicate effectively with team members to help ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide courteous and professional service to guests, employees, or customers.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the cafeteria or kitchen team.
Qualifications
- Previous food service, kitchen, or cafeteria experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.
- Basic communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to learn and take direction in a team setting.

- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience operating standard kitchen equipment safely.
