We are seeking a reliable and motivated professional to support food preparation and cafeteria operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and contributing to a positive guest or employee dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing ingredients and basic menu items according to established procedures.
  • Set up, restock, and maintain cafeteria serving areas to ensure items are presented neatly and available as needed.
  • Support food portioning, plating, and distribution during meal service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and storage areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces as assigned.
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and temperature control guidelines at all times.
  • Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory properly.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to help ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Provide courteous and professional service to guests, employees, or customers.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the cafeteria or kitchen team.

Qualifications

  • Previous food service, kitchen, or cafeteria experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques.
  • Experience operating standard kitchen equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with cafeteria or high-volume food service environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and speed.
