The Prep Cook plays a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, assembling recipes, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This part-time, nonexempt position reports to the Culinary Manager and offers 20-40 hours per week. Responsibilities include washing, chopping, measuring ingredients, assembling components, labeling and storing prep items, setting up and breaking down stations, and assisting with other tasks as needed. The role requires good organizational skills, attention to detail, basic knife skills, and knowledge of food safety. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
