In this vital role, you’ll help prepare and serve meals to students with special needs, ensuring high standards of nutrition, cleanliness, and service. Whether you're chopping vegetables or delivering meals to residences, your work will make a meaningful difference every day.

 

Pay: $18.50-20.90

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals following daily prep lists and special dietary guidelines.

  • Serve lunch and dinner to students and assist with snacks and beverage prep.

  • Set up kitchen workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.

  • Perform basic cooking duties (e.g., boiling, sautéing, prepping simple dishes).

  • Deliver meals to various campus residences and set up catering as needed.

  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized—wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, take out trash.

  • Receive and rotate inventory; label and store ingredients properly.

  • Record temperatures for food safety and ensure compliance with sanitation protocols.

  • Support the dish room and assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience as a prep cook is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!

  • Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced kitchen.

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Valid driver’s license required.

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds (or up to 200 with assistance) and be on your feet for long periods.
