Prep Cook ensures the highest quality food is prepared per the exact recipe specifications at all times from our scratch kitchen. A Prep Cook is responsible for all aspects of their assigned station: follows food safety procedures, daily prep list, prepares specific recipes for line cooks throughout their shift, puts away deliveries as they have been delivered; cleans, sanitizes and maintains equipment, utensils and tools throughout kitchen.
Job Objectives
- Understands, adheres to and ensures compliance with Restaurant Standards and Procedures of AttaGirl.
- Understands, adheres to and ensures compliance with Food Safety and Sanitation Procedures of AttaGirl.
- Ensures proper recipe adherence by having the recipe viewer in use while making recipe.
- Ensures that the food is of the highest quality when preparing when preparing all recipes.
The essential tasks of this job are:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking equipment in assigned prep station. Set up, shut down, shift maintenance, cleaning and repairing as needed.
- Ability to work clean and organized within their cooking station
- Exhibit a positive energy, initiative and enthusiasm throughout the workday.
- Demonstrate proper safety and sanitation techniques throughout your shift.
- Performs additional duties when given by the management team.
- Understands being on time means at your station in proper uniform at your scheduled time.
- Ensures that the quality of the delivered product is to spec and the orders are complete.
- Assist the line in restocking when needed.
