Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries are determined based on the candidates relevant experience. We continue to grow and address the needs of our community through quality and patient-centered care. Our Food Serviceteam is looking for an enthusiasticand reliable person to join our team. The Prep Cook will prepare raw and cooked foods for cooks, short order cooks, and bakers as needed for daily service. The prep cook is responsible for food production in the kitchen operations; this position plays an integral rolein managing the food productionoperations while ensuring client and customer service. Applicants must have: A passion for caring about a community through quality work in a stand-alone hospital. A drive for learning new practices to be able to adapt to our rapidly changing department. A willingness to offer new ideas to the team to help with our culture of continuous improvement. The ability to keep our internal clients informed of what you are doing and how long tasks will take. A TEAMWORK MENTALITY REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent preferred; six months of experience in either a volume institutional or military cooking environmentor an associates degree from a culinary arts school
