Prep Cook / Kitchen Assistant Persian Restaurant (Inglewood)

KUKU is a small family-run Persian kitchen in Inglewood stews, kebabs, saffron rice, herb frittata, the food we actually eat at home. Pickup, delivery, and a catering business that's growing fast.

Right now it's two people in this kitchen. We're hiring one more.

• You work next to the head chef every shift. Not one of ten on a line. One on one, learning every dish we make.
  
• Pay moves on a schedule, not a whim. $20 to start. $22 once you're running cold prep and fry solo. $24 when you can open or close a shift on your own. Most people get there in 3 6 months.
  
• Guaranteed 20 25 hours a week with option to be full-time, schedule posted two weeks ahead. As we grow, the extra hours go to you first.
  
• Free meal every shift.
  
• Real cooking, not chain food. Everything is made here.
  

• Prep and portion cold items dips, salads, stews, desserts
  
• Pack pickup and delivery orders (and check every bag before it leaves)
  
• Make drinks cucumber-mint cooler, saffron lemonade, Persian tea
  
• Keep your station clean and stocked
  
• Open or close: outdoor seating, restock, breakdown, inventory
  

Saffron rice, beef and chicken skewers on the grill, falafel and fry station, running the hot line during service, catering prep. If it works out, running a full shift on your own.

• Some kitchen experience any restaurant, any station
  
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
  
• Food handler card, or willing to get one your first week
  
• Able to lift ~40 lbs
  
• You show up when you say you will
