Title: Prep Cook

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour (based on experience) + perks!

Job Status: Non-Exempt, PRN (As-needed)

Schedule & Hours: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Hours dependent on availability and coverage needed

Sedgebrook is seeking a Prep Cook to support our Community Culinary Services team. If you enjoy food preparation, teamwork, and working in a clean, professional kitchen, this is a great opportunity to grow your culinary skills while making a difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation for lunch and dinner service.
• Prepare cold food items and support baking and catering needs.
• Follow production sheets, approved recipes, and daily prep schedules.
• Maintain proper food handling, temperature logs, and portion control.
• Follow all HACCP and food safety standards
• Support Line Cook functions as needed.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning schedules.
• Communicate effectively with culinary and dining team members.

What We''re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Food service experience preferred.
• Food Service Sanitation or ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain after employment).
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset.
