The Galt House Hotel is looking for a Prep Cook to join our Culinary team! The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting with daily kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, portioning, and measuring food items according to recipes and chef specifications.
  • Assist cooks and chefs with food preparation for restaurants, banquets, and special events.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
  • Properly label, store, and rotate food products following food safety guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Support the culinary team with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
