Job Description:
The Prep Cook prepares ingredients and performs basic cooking tasks to assist the kitchen team. This role ensures ingredients are ready, stations are stocked, and equipment is clean and functional.
Responsibilities:
Wash, peel, chop, and slice vegetables and fruits
Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes
Portion and marinate meats and seafood
Maintain organized and stocked prep stations
Assist chefs with basic cooking tasks, such as making sauces or dressings
Label and store ingredients properly
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Follow health and safety regulations in food preparation
Requirements:
Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment
