Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to our secret recipes
• Ability to roll dough balls using hands with good dexterity
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station
• Assist in inventory management, product stocking, and rotation
• Recording temps, waist, and daily progress
• Support the kitchen team to ensure timely and delicious food preparation
• Encourage staff to hit goals and follow procedures

Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza was originally founded in 2009 as Pi Wood-Fired Pizza. After years of perfecting recipes and operational details, Linda Black partnered with lifelong friend Matt Mongoven to transform the restaurant into a franchise model and expand Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza across the country. Every decision made — for recipes, menu items, the guest experience, the operation and layout of the restaurant and the training of the team members — has been meticulously thought through. They spent years perfecting every aspect of our pizza recipes – from the dough recipe (shhh!….it’s a secret) to their made-in-house sauce and the unique flavor combinations they’ve created using freshly grated cheese, meats roasted in their wood-fired oven, and hand-cut veggies. Once your pizza is made to order, it’s launched into the wood-fired oven and takes just a couple of minutes to bake. There are three things that make a franchise great: product, system, and people. They firmly believe that Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is the best pizza franchise in the US. In 2016 they developed the trade name Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza and began franchising across the country. Their first locations opened in Iowa, Colorado, and Nebraska. In 2020 we developed the Taproom concept, which pairs the self-serve Taproom Wall along with their fantastic menu featuring wood-fired pizza, salads, starters, and desserts.
