Location In-person in St. George UT, 84790: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required). Responsibilities - Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Kitchen Manager.
- Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves.
- Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients on easily accessible shelves.
- Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients.
- Parboiling food, reducing sauces, and starting the first steps in various dishes.
- Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware.
- Taking out trash and sanitizing the kitchen.
- Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards.
- Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to efficiently create supply orders.
Skills / Experience - Requires basic knife skills.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler Card.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with fellow team members in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
- Works well in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Comprehension of the English language, both written and oral.
Physical Requirements - Work in an open-air environment and move throughout the restaurant within the airport.
- Work outdoors less than 25% of the time.
- Must possess the ability to lift, bend, and kneel.
- Must be able to stand and walk swiftly for long periods of time while carrying large service trays.
- Ability to work in environments that can be smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and lift 50 pounds with assistance.
