Prep Cook

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1964. We are seeking to fill the position of Prep Cook Part-Time.
- $18 to $21 per hour based on circumstances including skills, qualifications, degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
- Flexible Schedule, must be able to work Weekends.
Prep Cook Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare food service preferred.
- Must be able to follow production sheets and standardized recipes.
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets.
- Must be able to work Every Other Weekend.
Prep Cook Job Summary:
- Handle and prepare food in accordance with federal, state and local sanitary regulations.
- Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders.
- Meet time schedules for serving of meals and snacks.
- Ensure food items are prepared, cooled and stored in adherence to corporate, local, state and federal guidelines.
- Supervise and set up steam table for Main Dining Room and trayline meal service to facilitate organized, speedy and sanitary delivery of meals.
- Check outgoing food for proper amounts, types and quality of food.
- Properly care for dietary equipment.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, Department of Public Health and Board of Health Standards.
