    The Prep Cook supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and ensuring all food is prepared consistently and according to established recipes and food-safety standards. This role plays an important part in helping the kitchen operate efficiently and delivering a high-quality dining experience for every guest.

    HOW YOU'LL SHAPE THE EXPERIENCE & FUTURE

    • Prepare and portion ingredients including vegetables, meats, sauces, and other food items.
    • Follow recipes, preparation techniques, and presentation standards consistently.
    • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked prep and work areas.
    • Label, date, store, and rotate ingredients according to food-safety and FIFO standards.
    • Assist cooks and culinary team members with daily food preparation and service needs.
    • Monitor ingredient levels and communicate shortages or quality concerns to the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
    • Follow all sanitation, food-safety, and workplace safety procedures.
    • Assist with kitchen cleaning, dishwashing, and other assigned closing duties.
    • Work collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Contribute to an organized, efficient, and positive kitchen culture.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

    • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet, or commercial kitchen is preferred.
    • Previous food preparation experience is a plus.
    • Candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

    ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Culinary training or food-safety certification is a plus.
