Plant Electrician

Accountabilities:

• Diagnose malfunctioning (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) components required in an expeditious manner on equipment associated with a Preparation Plant
• Maintain permissibility and repair malfunctioning and down equipment
• Lock-out/tag-out equipment at power sources
• Maintain records of repair and maintenance activities, preventive maintenance activities and work orders
• Capable of reading and interpreting complex blue prints and electrical and hydraulic circuit's schematics
• Know the standard operating procedures for the installation of electrical power distribution boxes and systems
• Know how to energize, de-energize and operate surface mining equipment
• Knowledge of lubrication and service requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years surface maintenance experience
• Ability to pass an electrical, mechanical and hydraulic test
• PLC experience required

Certifications/Licenses:

• WV/MSHA Surface Electrical Certification
