As a prep specialist, you’re laser focused on making sure that guests receive the highest quality products utilizing strict quality and food safety guidelines.
Position Type:
Prep Specialist Team Member Responsibilities:
- Prepare and portion ingredients (fruits, vegetables, salads, etc.) according to Chick-fil-A standards and recipes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper storage and labeling
- Maintain a clean and organized prep station and walk-in cooler
- Support the kitchen team by replenishing supplies and ensuring ingredients are readily available
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively (e.g., slicers, mixers)
- Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of shortages or issues
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Uphold Chick-fil-A’s core values of excellence, hospitality, and teamwork at all times
- Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
- Stock kitchen inventory as needed
- Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
- Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A
- Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to Leadership
- Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
- Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned
- Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
- Cross trained in all other aspects of the back of house roles to support kitchen team members as needed
- Other duties as assigned including dishes, cleaning tasks, etc.
