Come join our Prepress team! Belmark is seeking a Prepress Supervisor to lead and support operations within our Flexible Packaging business unit. This role is responsible for driving efficiency, ensuring high-quality output, and supervising a team dedicated to prepress production. Schedule:

2A shift – 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on, 7 days off

What will I do in this role?

  • Supervising the Prepress department within the Flexible Packaging business unit
  • Following all safety procedures and supporting a strong food safety culture (SQF requirements)
  • Driving continuous process improvements and increasing departmental efficiency
  • Collaborating with Prepress personnel to reduce press downtime
  • Ensuring presses have proper components to meet standard time and waste targets
  • Maintaining tooling including plate sleeves, anilox sleeves, and tint sleeves
  • Coordinating ordering of prepress supplies and maintaining inventory levels (ink, plates, stickyback)
  • Investigating and resolving production and equipment issues
  • Ensuring proper operation of equipment and communicating issues with maintenance
  • Managing staffing needs to support production schedules
  • Conducting performance reviews, managing attendance, scheduling time off, and ensuring payroll accuracy
  • Overseeing solvent operations, including coordination with vendors and maintenance
  • Reducing material waste (ink, mounting, plates) and minimizing plate remakes
  • Reducing press run-ups caused by color inaccuracies or missing components
  • Achieving daily, weekly, monthly, and annual departmental goals
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP and AIB/SQF regulations
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience) OR 2–3 years of supervision, production, or printing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, team-focused approach
  • Ability to analyze multiple variables and make effective decisions under pressure
  • Proven problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Ability to develop work plans, analyze data, and communicate goals clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with computers and basic software systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
  • Regular attendance and flexibility for occasional overtime
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the workday (varied distribution
