We are seeking a Part-Time Preschool Teacher - Seasonal / Early Childhood Teacher to support our 3-4 and 4-5 year old classrooms. Our Preschool team includes both full-time and part-time teachers who collaborate closely to create a supportive, engaging learning environment for young children.
This role works across multiple classrooms during the week, providing support where needed-assisting teachers, leading activities, or helping with assessments and classroom projects. Schedule - August 11, 2026 - June 12, 2027
- Mornings- Monday - Friday
- Tuesday - Friday primarily support classroom instruction
- Monday focused on planning and preparation
- Occasional evenings or weekends to support museum and preschool events
What You'll Do
- Implement our arts-based curriculum and enrich learning by utilizing the Arts Center's exhibitions, performances, artists-in-residence, and other programming as primary resources.
- Collaborate with teachers in weekly planning sessions
- Assist with classroom management and student engagement
- Support teaching and learning across up to four preschool classrooms
- Observe student progress and communicate with parents
- Support student assessments and communicate with parents
- Participate in museum events, including open houses, exhibitions of student work, and family programs
- Maintain required documentation such as attendance records, health forms, and licensing records
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, curatorial briefings and professional development
Education & Background
- Bachelor's degree required (Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Wisconsin teaching license strongly preferred
- Experience in early childhood education (ages 3-5)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Organized and Detail Oriented
- Preschool teaching certification preferred
