Preschool Director
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary: $55,000–$60,000 base + Sign On Bonus + performance-based bonuses throughout the year
- Health Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield medical, dental, vision
- Time Off: 15 days in Year 1 + all holidays + one paid week off for Winter Break

What You’ll Be Doing:
Operations
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the school, including staff scheduling, hiring, events, and family communications
- Ensure compliance with DCFS licensing and Goddard Quality Assurance standards
Faculty Support & Development
- Assist with recruiting, training, and retaining a strong team of educators
- Assist with conducting regular performance evaluations and creating individualized growth plans
Administrative & Classroom Oversight
- Keep child and employee records organized and up to date
- Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback
Family & Community Engagement
- Build warm, trust-based relationships with families and address parent concerns promptly and thoughtfully
- Represent the school at community events and maintain a visible social media presence
Technology & Communication
- Use platforms like Outlook, Teams, Excel, OneNote, Constant Contact, Canva, and Zoom for day-to-day tasks
- Create clear and professional communication for families and staff
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required)
- Director-qualified by DCFS/IDEC (required)
- 3+ years of experience in early childhood education
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Tech-savvy with the ability to train and support others in digital tools
- A heart for children and a commitment to staff growth and well-being

The Goddard School provides the foundation to encourage a child's lifelong love of learning .In our warm, caring atmosphere, dedicated teachers support the development of children from 6 weeks to 8 years old. Our year round program offers families the choice of either half day or full day schedule.
