Preschool Director (Childcare Center Director)
Location: The Learning Experience - Byron Center, MI
Pay: $60,000 per year
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking an experienced Preschool Director to lead daily operations of our licensed early childhood education center. This role is ideal for a director-qualified leader who excels in team development, compliance, enrollment growth, and creating a positive, high-quality learning environment for children and families.
Our center serves children from infancy through school age in a structured, play-based setting that supports academic readiness and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily preschool and childcare center operations
Maintain full compliance with Michigan childcare licensing and health regulations
Lead, coach, and support teaching staff to ensure consistent program quality
Support implementation of The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll support, and budget performance
Drive enrollment through tours, family engagement, and community outreach
Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the local community
Ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred
Minimum 2 years of preschool or childcare center management experience
Must meet Michigan Director Qualification Requirements
Strong knowledge of licensing, operations, and early childhood best practices
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
