    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated preschool closer to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and engaging transition at the end of each school day, fostering a nurturing environment that supports children's development and well-being. Your enthusiasm, organizational skills, and commitment to child welfare will help create a positive experience for children, parents, and staff alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the crucial closing hours of our preschool program.

    Duties

    • Facilitate a warm and welcoming environment during the afternoon transition, ensuring children feel secure and engaged as they prepare to leave for the day
    • Communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding their child's daily experiences, progress, and any concerns that arise during the closing period
    • Implement classroom management strategies to maintain order and safety while encouraging positive behavior and cooperation among children
    • Support classroom routines such as snack time, cleanup, and rest periods while adhering to health and safety protocols including first aid and CPR procedures
    • Document daily activities, child progress, and incident reports accurately to ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and childcare regulations

    Requirements

    Requirements

    • Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers
    • Knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
    • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
    • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; as well as 16 hour Health and Safety Course.
    • Mandated Reporter Certificate and Healthy Schools Act Certificate
    • Passion for nurturing young learners’ growth in a safe, inclusive environment
