Full job description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Director to lead our early childhood education program. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for educating young children. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with educational standards, and fostering a nurturing environment for both staff and students. The Preschool Director will play a crucial role in strategic planning and budgeting while managing a team of educators to deliver high-quality educational experiences.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the preschool, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and daily operations.
Educate staff on best practices in early childhood education and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the quality of education and care provided at the preschool.
Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet program needs.
Foster positive relationships with parents, staff, and the community to promote the preschool's mission and values.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements related to early childhood education.
Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes for children.
Requirements
A BA in Education or related field from an accredited university is required.
Proven leadership experience in an educational setting, particularly in early childhood education.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that supports children's growth and development.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members to achieve educational goals.
Ability to work 40-50 hours weekly including some nights and weekends.
