Plans and implements daily curriculum activities for children.
Upholds the philosophy, mission and vision of the school.
Observes and evaluates each child’s progress and provides a written report to the Curriculum Director and parents throughout the year.
Works cooperatively with staff members and families.
Maintains weekly communication with parents through weekly newsletters, online communication tools, email and personal connections.
Maintains availability for parent conferences tri-annually and on an as-needed basis.
Attends staff meetings as well as school functions.
Provides plans for substitute teachers when absent from school.
Diagnoses the learning needs of students on a regular basis, seeking the assistance of the curriculum coordinator and/or other school specialists as required.
Consults with colleagues, students, and parents on a regular basis.
Assists the Administrative team with designated activities.
Notifies the Principal in the event of an absence.
Maintains a classroom environment that supports the Reggio Emilia and Montessori approaches to education.
Maintains a portfolio assessment for each of the children in the classroom.
Creates a personal development plan documenting professional growth.
Ensures the safety and protection of all students.
Maintains a sanitary environment for the children.
