As the Food Service Assistant at Primrose School at Naperville Crossings, you’ll help to prepare delicious, nutritious food that helps fuel children as they explore, play and develop a lifelong love of learning. This is a part-time position, hours 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday. (More hours available if desired.)At The Primrose School at Naperville Crossings, you’ll find:

Nurture a child’s first five years by:
- Encouraging healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods
- Maintaining a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions
- Following the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the School Management Team
- Assisting with ordering food and calculating the amount needed
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and kitchen management is a plus, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Being able to multi-task and prioritize the needs of the kitchen and overall school
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
- Organization is key!
- Willing to learn kitchen tasks and take guidance from Kitchen Manager and School Management Team
- Knowledge of dietary requirements and food production
