Preschool Kitchen Prep & Teacher Assistant Position Information $18 to $22 hourly Part time: 20 hours a week 401k with 4% Employer Match Paid Family Leave
Summary of Position This position supports the Preschool by receiving and readying food deliveries for daily meals. This person will also clean and wash dishes daily, using the standards of DCFS and the Health Department. The position also includes assisting classroom teachers as needed, which may involve prepping for activities, keeping a safe and clean classroom, helping students with diapering, or leading an activity.
Essential Functions
Receive and prepare daily meals from catering company
Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes after daily use
Provide assistance to classroom teachers or center director as needed

Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma
At least 1 year Restaurant or Kitchen experience
Licenses/Certifications: Food Handler’s (can be obtained after hired)
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Must be able to bend, squat, move around on floor
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Knowledge and certification in food safety
Works in both kitchen and classroom setting
