Preschool Lead Teacher
Location: The Learning Experience – Oak Creek, WI
Pay: $16–$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience – Oak Creek is seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Teacher to support children ages 3–5 in a structured classroom environment focused on kindergarten readiness, confidence, and social-emotional development.
This role focuses on creating engaging learning experiences where children build independence, communication skills, and strong early academic foundations through hands-on activities, guided routines, and positive teacher-child relationships.
This position is ideal for educators who enjoy helping young learners grow through meaningful classroom experiences and collaborative teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities
- Implement developmentally appropriate experiences that encourage early literacy and math readiness
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Guide children through transitions including meals, learning centers, and group activities
- Encourage social-emotional growth and positive classroom participation
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom updates and milestones
- Collaborate with teaching team members and center leadership
- Follow all Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior preschool or childcare classroom experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, patient, and nurturing approach to working with children
- Must meet Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
