Greenfield School District is seeking a special educator to work with a team of professionals. Candidates should have experience working with children with learning disabilities, designing and delivering instruction, and special education case management. Candidates must have strong collaborative and communication skills. Willingness to use specific strategies for challenged students is a plus; will work with social worker and behavior specialist, as needed.
DUTIES:
- Teaching students with communication disabilities, and supporting their inclusion in typical classrooms and school activities
- Documenting student progress in all areas of curriculum, including academic and social/communication goals
- Supervising paraprofessionals, and ensuring their follow-through with the program
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and appropriate program. Support access to the general curriculum
- Writing IEPs and progress reports, and manage all aspects of special education compliance for assigned student caseload
SALARY: Per the salary schedule of the Greenfield Education Association Master Contract starting at $54,141.00
