Lil Explorers Kissimmee Inc is seeking a reliable and responsible Opening Preschool Teacher who will assist with opening the center and managing morning front desk operations before transitioning into a Preschool 3 classroom.
Position Summary:
This position requires someone who is punctual, organized, and welcoming. The candidate will open the center, monitor the front entrance, greet families, assist with morning procedures, and ensure staff are in proper classroom ratio before transitioning into their assigned classroom.
Essential Responsibilities:
Morning Opening Duties:
• Open the center according to the scheduled time.
• Monitor and manage the front entrance.
• Greet parents and students warmly.
• Ensure proper sign-in procedures are followed.
• Verify staff coverage and classroom ratios.
• Communicate any morning concerns to the administration.
Classroom Responsibilities (Preschool 3):
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all children.
• Maintain DCF compliance and ELC CLASS standards.
• Plan and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Maintain student portfolios.
• Provide daily parent communication.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization.
• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom management strategies.
Professional Requirements:
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Complete required DCF training hours.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and strong communication skills.
Qualifications:
• DCF 45 hours completed (or in progress).
• Prior preschool classroom experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
