The Pre-K Instructor serves as the lead teacher for a classroom of children, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment while supporting children''s growth and school readiness. The position also supports the ECEC''s role as a university-based teaching site by mentoring students and maintaining compliance with state licensing and NAEYC accreditation standards.
The Pre-K Instructor serves as the lead teacher for a classroom of three-year-old
children at the Early Childhood Education Center and is responsible for
providing high-quality early childhood education in alignment with
developmentally appropriate practice, state licensure requirements, and
NAEYC accreditation standards.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum
that supports cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical
development of children. Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and
engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration, curiosity, and
positive behavior. Conduct ongoing observation and assessment of children's
development and use data to inform instruction and communicate progress.
