Our agency is hiring on behalf of a partner school in Hyde Park, MA that has an immediate opening for a Pre-K Teacher. Teachers are responsible for the academic and social growth of their students, supporting a classroom of 17-18 students. Pre-K Teachers are supported in the classroom by a paraprofessional.
School day: 7:00 AM – 2:45 PM
Professional development: Wednesdays until 4:30 PM
Teach all core subjects, except Arts and PE
Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations, providing support to ensure student success
Participate actively in coaching and professional development opportunities
Assist with school programs and activities during non-instructional time
Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the school community
Bachelor's degree required
At least 2 years of full-time classroom or special education teaching experience, preferably in an urban education setting
Must meet teacher certification requirements set by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, or be able to meet them within 1 year of hire
Believe that all students can succeed and demonstrate a commitment to their growth
Desire to continually improve teaching practice through feedback and professional development
Proven record of student growth and achievement is a plus
Work with a supportive and collaborative team in a dynamic school environment
Competitive pay rate: $50-55/hour
