Adventure Point Early Learning Center is a Christian, faith-based preschool proudly located in the heart of National City, CA. Serving families across San Diego’s South Bay, we focus on making excellent early childhood education both accessible and affordable. As a Preschool Teacher (Infant - 5 Years) at Adventure Point, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers by guiding them through exploration of God’s big world using creative play. Responsibilities

  • Create and implement age-appropriate, play-based lesson plans for infants through 5-year-olds that align with developmental milestones and Christian values.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels valued and encouraged to explore.
  • Observe and assess children’s development regularly to tailor activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate children’s progress and address individual needs effectively.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization to ensure a healthy and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support children in developing early literacy, social skills, and creative problem-solving abilities through guided play and instructional activities.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and participate actively in the community to uphold the center’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent in early childhood education.
  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children in a classroom or childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith and the ability to integrate faith-based principles into teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, families, and staff.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Flexibility, patience, and creativity to meet the diverse needs of young learners and adapt to dynamic classroom situations.
