Position Summary:
Hebron Day School (HDS) is seeking a caring, dependable, and faith-centered Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a loving, engaging classroom environment where children can grow spiritually, emotionally, socially, mentally, and physically while experiencing God's love through daily interactions.
HDS Mission:
To provide a safe and loving preschool environment that spreads the word of God, serves the community, families and all children, offers opportunities for young children to grow spiritually, mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically, and nurtures each child's sense of joy and personal dignity through faith-based play.
Schedule:
Tuesday–Wednesday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., plus select special events, programs, meetings, and training sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children throughout the preschool day.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and classroom activities.
- Create a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, co-workers, and school leadership.
- Maintain student confidentiality and professionalism.
- Attend staff meetings, planning sessions, and required training, including CPR/First Aid certification.
- Participate in school events and programs throughout the year.
- Track and document student progress and development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.
- Model Christian values and demonstrate God's love through positive interactions and encouragement.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and collaborative team player.
- Ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Hebron Day School.
