If you embrace change are eager to learn take pride in what you do and see your time with children no matter how long or short-as a learning opportunity we invite you to apply.As a Brella Teacher You WillProvide a safe and loving environment for children aged 3 months through 6 years of age in our classrooms in collaboration and under the direction of co-teachersModel empathy through respect response and gentle guidanceEngage as children work with age-appropriate stimulating and thoughtful materialsPlan and implement Brella curriculum and develop daily modifications as needed per age group or emergent class interests and demonstrate that the target curriculum engagementquality elements are being achievedKeep the classroom safe by following procedures and guidelinesCollaborate and communicate respectfully with coworkers creating positive relationships and center cultureCommunicate effectively with families during drop offpick ups and provide curriculum and development updatesWork with co-teachers Leads and admin to implement child support plansExperience Knowledge and AbilitiesAt least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma and 12 Early Childhood Education units and for those that work in our infant rooms this must include 3 units specific to infant care RequiredAt least 6 months working in a licensed child care facility RequiredMust meet the requirements of the California Department of Social Services LicensingThe ability to display a patient and calm demeanor coupled with a loving approach to every childA collaborative spirit and ability to take direction from staff to support our rooms as neededUnderstanding of Reggio RIE and Montessori methodologies PreferredKnowledge in early learningdevelopment and group care settings including knowledge of current research regulations and best practicesComfort using technologyPhysical DemandsDemonstrate full range of motion to lift reach squat climb sit walk bend and otherwise fully participate in activities. Standing for long periods of time.Ability to physically handle children between 0-5 years of age using appropriate techniques.
