President, Commercial Banking SUMMARY The President of Commercial Banking is responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and overall performance of the Bank’s Commercial Banking division. This position oversees commercial lending, treasury management, and business development, while ensuring the Bank maintains strong, profitable, and well‑managed commercial relationships. In addition to working closely with the Chief Credit Officer to ensure strong commercial credit quality, the role focuses on driving disciplined loan growth, expanding commercial deposit market share, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the division operates within the Bank’s risk, regulatory, and profitability expectations. The President of Commercial Banking collaborates closely with executive leadership to align commercial banking strategies with the Bank’s long‑term goals. This includes optimizing asset and liability pricing within the organization’s pricing guidelines/strategies, enhancing product capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the commercial banking team delivers exceptional service to businesses across the Bank’s footprint. This position reports to the President/Chief Executive Officer. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The President of Commercial Banking oversees the Commercial Lending and Treasury Management teams. The role carries full supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Bank policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning. The position also works closely with Credit administration, Retail leadership, and Operations to ensure coordinated service delivery and strong client outcomes. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, financial statements, regulatory guidance, and technical documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy documents. Ability to effectively present information to senior management, the Board of Directors, regulators, auditors, clients, and community groups. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply advanced financial concepts including credit metrics, portfolio analytics, and profitability analysis. Ability to work with ratios, percentages, and statistical measures relevant to commercial banking. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve complex business problems, evaluate multiple variables, and make sound decisions in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret and apply written, oral, and diagram‑based instructions. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
KEY CONTACTS—INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL Frequent contact with executive leadership, commercial banking staff, credit administration, operations, retail leadership, and the Board of Directors. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, generally between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. As a senior executive, additional evening or weekend work will be required based on business needs. TRAVEL Local travel between branches and client locations is required. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for conferences, training, or industry events.
