Press AssistantThe Press Assistant is an essential member of the production team, responsible for supporting the operation of printing presses to ensure quality label production, efficient workflow, and safe manufacturing practices.Why Work at MCC:

Responsibilities:
Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines.Report all safety concerns or issues to the immediate supervisor.Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments.Assist Press Operators during press setup, make-readies, changeovers, and production runs.Prepare and stage inks, substrates, plates, cylinders, tooling, and other production materials according to job specifications.Mount plates, load rolls, splice materials, and assist with press preparation activities.Monitor material levels throughout production and replenish supplies as needed to minimize downtime.Support quality checks by inspecting labels for copy, color, registration, print quality, and overall conformance to customer specifications.Remove finished rolls and transport materials safely throughout the production area.Assist with press cleaning activities, including cleaning ink pans, cylinders, plates, and related equipment.Perform routine maintenance tasks and lubrication as directed.Accurately record material usage, production information, and downtime in the GlobeTek system.Follow all work instructions, quality procedures, and other requirements.Collaborate with Press Operators and team members to achieve production, quality, waste, and efficiency goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.Manufacturing, printing, machine operation, or production experience preferred.Previous printing experience is a plus but not required.Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn printing press operations.Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent walking throughout the shift.Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift materials.Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
