Perfect Communications is looking for a Press Assistant to work on a new model Heidelberg CX102 in our Moorestown, NJ facility.

 

The essential job functions of a Press Assistant are to help the lead pressman to produce high quality printed material on an offset press while maintaining production standards. The right candidate will have the desire and inherent skill sets to be open to learning how to operate the press.

What You'll Do:

• Load stock into feeder.
• Setup and change over feeder for different stock types and sizes.
• Maintain ink supply during course of the run
• Correctly identify and position stock based on press schedules
• Accept directions from lead pressman.
• Follow instructions on job ticket
• Maintain press in premium condition
• Cleans up press, returning inks and solvents to ink room, placing used shop towels in designated area.
• Assists with preventive maintenance.
• Ability to cross train and work on any printing press, or to work in other departments as needed.
• Assists in training other press helpers as needed.
• Other duties, as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Ability to use a ruler or tape measure to measure in Imperial and metric increments. Must be able to measure to 1/16th of an inch and in millimeters.
• Capable of color match visually and using colorimetric instrumentation.
• Must have good mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn, navigate and use all proprietary company and equipment software.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and other employees.
• Must possess excellent skills in working in a team environment.
• Ability to stand, lift and bend repeatedly throughout entire shift.

Hourly rate: $18
