Position Summary:The Bench Hand Repair position requires the ability to repair/rework tooling in support of the Press/Stamping department with minimal supervision. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.
Qualifications-Education/Experience:Required:
Ability to use all gauges and gauging techniques required.
Ability to operate bench hand tools/equipment.
Ability to complete a Job Skill Training Matrix for a Bench Hand Repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge in ISO/QS requirements.
Good teamwork skills.
Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems.
Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements.
Provide written communication as needed.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices.
HS Diploma, GED or relevant experience.
Fluent in English (both strong verbal and written communication skills).
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Minimum two years of experience in direct or related field, fastener experience a plus.
Previous problem solving and troubleshooting skills/experience.
Formal mechanical or technical training.
Forklift operation/material-handling/overhead crane experience.
Micrometers, calipers, gauges, comparators, wrenches and other general tools and equipment.
